It was a really hot day with lots of mirage and wind, which made for some interesting shooting.
It's hard to believe we only have 3 matches left. Our next scheduled match is Sunday, September 14th. The last 2 matches will be held as a double on Sunday, October 5th. Hope you can make these matches.
Reade Range 1000 Yard Benchrest LeagueNational F-Class Open Junior Palma Record set at Reade Range 421-8x.
On July 5, 2008 at the Pennsylvania long range Regional Championship ten year old Tommy Ferraro set the f-class open Palma course national record in the junior category with his 6.5 284 custom rifle.
The Palma course consists of 45 record rounds fired in three stages of 15 shots.Tommy fired a 144-7x at 800 yards a 140-1x at 900 yards and 137-0x at 1000 yards. All record rounds and sighting shots at 900 and 1000 must be fired with no coaching help.
Tommy is looking ahead to the Pennsylvania State long range Championship at Reade Range this September to try to add some points to his current record.
Reade Range will be closed on Sept 5,6, & 7 for the Appleseed Shoot. Come on out and shoot.

Sign-up for all league matches start at 8:00. Matches start at 9:00 sharp. Cost is $15, juniors shoot for free.
